Overview
At the University of Northern Iowa we offer a master degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Development. Designed for both recent graduates and professionals currently employed in philanthropy and nonprofit settings with 2-5 years of experience, this interdisciplinary program is designed to develop professional’s skills and knowledge in the fundraising and nonprofit sectors and further their understanding of ethical policy and legal issues as they relate to philanthropy and nonprofit development.
The Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential, the only national nonprofit credential preparing students for leadership in the nonprofit sector, is offered to all graduates.
Guided By Faculty Who Are At The Forefront Of Innovation
- During your academic career, faculty mentors will provide you multiple opportunities to engage in scholarship experiences. You will be guided by faculty who are at the forefront of innovation in their areas of research and scholarship.
- Ultimately, you will complete a culminating project that may be a traditional research study, a creative project, an action research project in public schools, or a capstone project. When you graduate, you will be able to transfer your on-campus scholarship and academic research to enhance the community.
