Overview

A minimum of forty-seven (47) credit hours are distributed among core courses, including a capstone, and the fieldwork/residency component. Courses in finance, statistics, and application of research methods are designed to help students develop problem-solving and decision-making skills.

What you'll learn

Management, marketing, planning, and leadership courses are included in the curriculum to acquaint students with the conceptual framework and operational aspects of health services administration. The Health Administration curriculum from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University also includes courses that develop students’ understanding of the social, legal, and political factors affecting the health care delivery system. A capstone course and the administrative residency represent the integrative components of the curriculum.

General requirements

An earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university,
A grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work completed or a requisite combined score on the GRE.
Application to the School of Graduate Studies, application to the School of Allied Health Sciences MHA program, transcripts, GRE scores, resume, three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Students may be interviewed by the admissions committee.
