Overview

The Master of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering at Lamar University is a thesis option program that prepares you to independently develop solutions in your discipline. You'll select a thesis committee and a director who will guide you as you prepare to defend and present your research

Lamar University's small class sizes allow professors to engage with students on a personal basis. We also have a bi-annual career fair to bring local industry and students together for co-op and career opportunities.

The mission of our department is to provide students with high quality and accessible undergraduate and graduate civil engineering education, to engage and empower students with skills and knowledge to thrive in professional careers, and to serve society through economic and technological development of Southeast Texas and beyond.
