About

Advance your accounting skills in North Jersey's only program with both business and accounting accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Professional Accounting program is offered by Seton Hall University.

Overview

The Professional Accounting program offered by Seton Hall University is designed for accounting majors looking to satisfy the 150-credit educational requirement to sit for the CPA exam in New Jersey, New York and most other states. The program, offered both on campus and online, is also well-suited for accountants who are looking to update their skills and increase their knowledge of the profession.

Our graduates land at some of the largest and most prestigious organizations after graduation: Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, Prudential, New York Life and the NBA.

Developed with top-level specialists as a practical graduate accounting education, this program can be completed in approximately one year of evening-only classes.

Curriculum

There are very few required classes in this M.S. program. Instead, you'll shape your own course list, choosing from a diverse list of accounting and tax electives that includes:

  • Enterprise-Wide Accounting Information Systems
  • Auditing
  • Financial Instruments
  • International Accounting

You'll also take three general business classes-one that covers uniform commercial code, another on international business, and a third on any subject you choose. You will find an emphasis on values at Stillman; our mission is to enrich each student's life through an ethics-centered curriculum.

Accreditation

Seton Hall is home to the only accounting program in Northern NJ to achieve both business & accounting accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
