Programme Structure

Course Requirements

  • Four semesters of applied strings (quartet lessons); four semesters of applied music (major instrument); four semesters of university orchestra.
  • Four enrollments (one per semester) of music electives to be chosen from MUSI 6312, 6281, 5211, 6095, 6092.

  • Program audition:
    • Vocal students:Total of four selections with four languages represented - German, English, Italian:- Aria from either opera or oratorio- Art songs
    • Instrumental students:Two music pieces that are contrasting and demonstrate musicality and technical proficiency
  • Placement test for leveling courses
  • Letter of interest that discusses their performance medium and how a graduate degree in music will help achieve their professional goals. The letter of interest must be provided on your applicant portal.
