Programme Structure

The master's program in theological studies offers a comprehensive approach to the study of theology and religion.

Each student is expected to develop an understanding of biblical sources, historical developments in Christianity, and contemporary systematic and moral theologies, especially in the Roman Catholic tradition.

Ecumenical perspectives among Christians and interfaith dialogue among the world religions provide another important matrix for study.

Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities must be submitted directly from the colleges or universities to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. Hand-carried transcripts, official copies marked Issued to Student and unofficial copies are not acceptable.
Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers.
A personal statement explaining the applicant's desire to study theology/pastoral ministry at the University of Dayton.
Results from the GRE are not required for applicants to the M.A. programs. However, candidates are welcome to submit a score in support of their application.
