The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Texas State University emphasizes the knowledge and tools needed for professional success and is designed for those individuals who expect to pursue careers in the management of organizations in either the public or private sector.


The curriculum provides broad-based, generalized education with the flexibility to meet individual needs. Students may choose an optional concentration in one of five areas of study in a flexible format or select a full-time cohort program. The entire Flex M.B.A. programs can be completed at either the San Marcos or Round Rock campus while the Full-Time Cohort program is available exclusively at the San Marcos campus.

  • resume/CV detailing work experience, extracurricular and community activities, and honors and achievements
  • two letters of recommendation from persons best able to assess the student’s ability to succeed in graduate school
