The Public Health program at University of Nevada, Reno prepares students to become public health professionals.

Master of Public Health (MPH) specializations

The Master of Public Health has a core curriculum and specializations in the following three areas of public health:

Health and Administration Policy

The health administration and policy specialization prepares students for careers in public health leadership roles, focusing on health care systems management, finance and policy and legislative implications for public health problems and population health. Students learn how to manage public health programs, evaluate and inform public health policy and conduct research that helps shape public health systems.

Social and Behavioral Health

The social and behavioral health specialization is designed for students interested in health promotion, health education, and the prevention and reduction of health disparities over the life course. Social/behavioral health researchers and practitioners solve public health problems through public health policy, services and interventions at the individual, family, community and societal level.

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4-point scale
