Overview
The Development & Learning track prepares graduate students for work in schools, nonprofit agencies, and other applied settings, or for future doctoral training. The program includes coursework in the areas of human development, learning and cognition, and educational research methods, as well as completion of a data-driven master's thesis.
Learning outcomes
The Educational Psychology and Research (REMS) track at University of Kansas prepares graduate students for careers in quantitative methodologies. The program includes coursework in research methods, program evaluation, classroom assessment, measure development, and statistics.

Programme Structure
Students must take at least one course in each of the five core areas. Examples of courses include:

- Human Development - EPSY 705: Human Development Through the Life Span
- Research and Evaluation Methods* - EPSY 715: Understanding Research in Education (*All students must take EPSY 715 to satisfy this core course requirement.)
- Measurement - EPSY 725: Educational Measurement
- Statistics - EPSY 710/711: Statistical Analysis Lecture & Lab
