Overview

Students accepted into the Aerospace Engineering program from University of Maryland can choose thesis or non-thesis tracks. Those who do not pursue the thesis option are required to complete a scholarly paper and a comprehensive exam.

The Master of Science degree is awarded after the completion of 30 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students are also required to obtain a B minus or better in all technical core courses. Specific requirements may vary depending on whether a student pursues the thesis or non-thesis option, but a final comprehensive exam is required for all students.

An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies
