Designed to cultivate original research and academic writing, this Theatre degree offered by Baylor University will prepare students for PhD programs in theatre history, theatre theory and criticism, performance studies, and related disciplines.
The MA degree in Theatre Studies is a 31 hour pre-doctoral program. MA students must pass a thesis proposal process to qualify for the second year of study. Completion of the degree requires successful defense of a written thesis on a topic of theatre history, dramatic literature, and/or theatre theory.
