Description

The fellowship is funded by the Worshipful Company of Salters and match-funded by the University of Liverpool School of Physical Sciences. It supports a student undertaking an eligible one-year taught Master’s degree in a subject complementary to Chemistry.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the below criteria:

  • Be permanently resident in the UK
  • Have graduated from an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. This includes chemical engineering and biochemistry degrees
  • Have accepted a place at the University of Liverpool on an eligible postgraduate course.
  • This must be your first postgraduate degree and you must not already hold an equivalent qualification
  • You must have made an application to Student Finance England (or equivalent body) for a Postgraduate Masters’ Loan
  • You must have been assessed for fee status as a ‘Home’ student, or expect to be assessed as a ‘Home’ student
  • Have been considered a student from a widening participation background during your undergraduate degree. Please see below for information on what qualifies as a widening participation background.
