Overview
Micro and Nanosystems are systems or devices that integrate electronic and non-electronic elements, functioning at the micro or nano scale.
Education in this field concentrates on the synthesis of electrical and mechanical engineering. The Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) and the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) combine efforts in a joint Master's Program in Micro and Nanosystems.
The Master's Program in Micro and Nanosystems at ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology offers a future-oriented education to outstanding Bachelor graduates from all over the world. Micro and nanosystems engineers need to master fundamental theoretical knowledge and application-specific aspects of materials and their properties, quantum mechanics, novel properties of devices, system integration, modeling and simulation.
The Master's Program is a tutor-driven, full-time study program. The completion of 90 credit points requires an average of 3 semesters.
