The Academic Achievement Scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievement among UK, Republic of Ireland (ROI), and Channel Islands (CI) postgraduate applicants. The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction to students with an excellent academic record who are beginning an eligible postgraduate programme at Bournemouth University.

Description

The Academic Achievement Scholarship is available to UK, ROI, and CI students applying for an eligible full-time taught postgraduate degree, part-time structured postgraduate degree, or Master's by Research delivered on campus at Bournemouth University.

The scholarship is awarded automatically to applicants who have achieved an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or above, or a CPE with a merit profile. It may be held alongside a BU Music or Sport Scholarship but cannot be combined with any other academic scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Must be a UK, Republic of Ireland (ROI), or Channel Islands (CI) student.
  • Must apply for a full-time taught postgraduate degree, part-time structured postgraduate degree, or a Master's by Research delivered on campus.
  • Must hold an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or above, or a CPE with a merit profile.
  • Cannot be combined with another academic scholarship (except BU Music or BU Sport Scholarship).
  • Applicants for Postgraduate Certificates, Postgraduate Diplomas, distance learning courses, or student-driven part-time courses are not eligible.
  • Some Faculty of Health & Social Sciences courses are excluded, except eligible MSc Public Health, MA Social Work, MSc Physician Associate Studies, and MSc Nutrition & Behaviour students.
