Description
The DkIT Sports Scholarships are designed to support top athletes in pursuing and excelling in their sport while also undertaking academic study at DkIT.
The vision of the DkIT Sports Scholarship Programme is to focus on developing our top athletes so that they are in a position to achieve sporting success and development, during and after their time at Dundalk Institute of Technology.
Applicable programmes
Benefits
Sports Scholarship students receive financial support ranging from €500-€1,500 per year.
Sports Scholarship students will have access to study skills support.
Performance planning and analysis, Fitness testing, Strength and conditioning programme, Nutrition, Psychology, Physiotherapy.
DkIT Sports Arena, Team Strength and Conditioning Area, Multi-purpose Centre, Outdoor pitches.
Free Branded and Specialist Sports Scholarship Training and Leisure Gear.
Eligibility
- You will find information relating to the standard minimum entry requirements for each course within the course descriptions. If you do not meet these, you cannot be offered a place at DkIT, even if your points are higher than the minimum.
- Entry points required for each course are dependent on demand. If you meet the minimum entry requirements for a course your results will be converted into points.
- In the case of the Leaving Certificate and GCE’s you may combine results from more than one sitting for the purposes of entry requirements only.
- Sports Scholarships are intended for persons of outstanding sporting ability. The vision of the DkIT Sports Scholarship Programme is to focus on developing our top athletes so that they are in a position to achieve sporting success and development, during and after their time at Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Complete all sections of the Sports Scholarship Application form by 1st June.
Apply for your DkIT chosen course through the Central Applications Office system. Confirmation of your application to CAO must accompany the Scholarship application.
