About

History

The College’s DNA comes from two art and design schools, Saint Martin’s School of Art, established in 1854, and the Central School of Art, founded 1896.

Research

CSM has an established and thriving research community. Our staff are curious and innovative and their research ranges from practice driven investigation to theoretical study.

The results of our research take many forms including artefacts, designs, patents, catalogues, exhibitions, digital resources of various kinds, as well as published work such as books, journal articles and commissioned reports.

Career

LCF Careers provides advice, mentoring opportunities, career related events with industry, supports current students and new graduates with placements and opportunities, helping them to become informed and self-reliant individuals who are able to plan and manage their own careers.

Library services

Central Saint Martins Library provides students with a range of resources and services to support their learning and research. The library has a wide range of collections, services and facilities supporting the courses taught at CSM, including books, DVDs, journals and an extensive range of electronic resources.

MyUAL is a free mobile app providing core digital services including:

MyUAL offers a convenient way to access information and services without having to sign on to multiple systems.

Campus life

Our main campus is located in the award-winning Granary Building at the centre of London’s King’s Cross. The College also has campuses in Richbell Place and Archway.
