The transformation in 1991 to Ecole Centrale de Nantes reflected a broadening of the curriculum - the school today trains versatile engineers equipped with a strong scientific and technical culture.

Among these, the three major growth and innovation challenges of energy transition, manufacturing and healthcare emerge and structure the curriculum.
Hotbeds of innovation and open-mindedness, the 6 research laboratories of the school and its 500+ researchers provide strong links with the local and international industrial fabric. They enjoy a reputation for excellence in the world, particularly in naval hydrodynamic, civil engineering, composite materials, robotics and big data analysis. 12 industrial chairs were created and more than 100 contracts are processed annually, in accordance with public bodies, large groups and small to medium sized businesses.

Each year Centrale Nantes signs a cooperation agreement with "CROUS" (French national organization) to book accommodations in university residences near the campus.Through this agreement, the International Relations Department proposes international students accommodation in five CROUS residences which offer independent rooms from 9m2 to 20m2. Depending on the residence, there can be shared or independent toilets, bathrooms and kitchens. The monthly cost is different depending on the comfort you choose.
The Centrale Nantes Multimedia Library strives to provide students, teachers, researchers, research engineers and doctoral students with the documentary resources that meet their needs.
