Key facts
The Advanced Design of Ships and Offshore Structures programme from Centrale Nantes, was selected in the Quality Review, a grant awarded by the EACEA in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme. EMship was extended under the name EMship+ to welcome four additional cohorts under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree label.
The EMship+ consortium comprises 9 institutions across Europe, four of whom host programme students and confer the joint master's degree.

- EMship+ aims to provide high quality education in Naval Architecture and Ship & Offshore Design, through a 2-year programme, which is fully taught in English with mobility in a minimum of two European countries.

Other requirements
General requirements
Bachelor degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution (minimum 3 years full-time study or 180 ECTS credits) in mechanical engineering, elektromechanical engineering, naval architecture, marine technology or a related discipline.
In the application form, you will be asked to list all the courses you had, if applicable (Name of the course, year in the curriculum, number of credits, two lines description with main content) on the following topics:
- Mathematics (e.g. numerical, analytics,…)
- Programming (e.g. Python, Matlab,…) and engineering software (e.g. CFD, FEM, CAD,…)
- Mechanical Engineering (e.g. structure analysis, dynamics of mechanical systems,…)
- Thermofluids (e.g. thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics,…
Optional/not-compulsory:
Naval architecture (e.g. offshore structures, shipbuilding, hydrostatics, ship stability,…)
