History
Grand Valley State University was founded in 1960 and opened its doors in 1963. (More information on the history and creation of Grand Valley State University can be found here.) The first economics courses were taught in 1965, with a School of Business and Economics being established in 1970.

Seidman House is nestled on the edge of the ravines, offering students an amazing view through floor-to-ceiling windows. The building offers space with comfortable chairs and tables for quiet study. Special Collections & University Archives host rotating exhibits in the building's cases, highlighting portions of the collections available for use in the Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room.
