History

Founded in 2003 by the School’s President, Mr. Sanjay Bavisi, EC-Council University (ECCU) is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

EC-Council University was incorporated in Wyoming in 2003 and licensed by the New Mexico Higher Education Department in 2006. The institution was created to educate and train information security professionals.

Education

EC-Council University builds on the recognition and strengths of its parent corporation, The International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants, also known as EC-Council, a globally-recognized IT certification body specializing in Information Assurance and e-business.

Information security involves in-depth knowledge of a wide array of hardware and software systems as well as the skills and techniques to negotiate them.

Through quality distance educational programs, excellence in teaching and research, and direct connections to the Cyber Security industry EC-Council University aspires to be an educational leader in cyber security. Our students of today will become the cyber security leaders of tomorrow.

EC-Council University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) — a private, non-profit organization that operates as a national accreditor of distance education institutions. The DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency as well as an acknowledged member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
