EIT RawMaterials, initiated and funded by the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), a body of the European Union, is the largest consortium in the raw materials sector worldwide.
The RawMaterials Academy is the overarching brand of all the education activities of the EIT RawMaterials. One of the flagship activities of EIT RawMaterials Academy is to support six master programmes in raw materials, which are taught and delivered by Europe's top engineering schools. These programmes have all received the EIT Label, a quality seal awarded to top Master and PhD programmes that excel in shaping a new generation of students into game changers and innovators. The EIT-Labelled Master programmes offer students unique opportunities to grow their innovation and entrepreneurship skills, gain an understanding of the full raw materials value chain, and contribute to solving sustainability challenges.
EIT RawMaterials Academy's university partners are among Europe's top universities in the raw materials field, meaning that you will have the opportunity to interact with cutting-edge research taking place in the discipline. Furthermore, you can choose to undertake your thesis placement at one of Europe's top university or research laboratories in the raw materials sector.
EIT-Labelled master programmes are designed with industry partners, meaning that graduates are prepared with the skills, knowledge and attitudes sought by employers in the raw materials sector. Furthermore, students on the programmes are offered unique opportunities to engage and network with major European and global companies, including a long internship with an industrial research partner as well as dedicated events, conferences and workshops.

The programmes all include multinational study, so you will receive support and guidance in reserving your accommodation at the different locations of your course.

From the moment you enrol on a master programme, you are eligible to join EIT RawMaterials Alumni. This organisation provides a great opportunity to network with past and present participants in the many and varied EIT RawMaterials activities, such as business idea competitions, start-ups, professional development courses and Master’s and PhD programmes.
It is run by and for its members, who can benefit from events, career development and educational activities and much more, forming a hub for a diverse range of raw materials students, academics and professionals. Furthermore, the EIT RawMaterials Alumni provides you with a connection to the wider EIT Alumni community and alumni events around Europe.
Students on EIT RawMaterials Academy's EIT-Labelled master programmes are awarded joint, double or triple master's degree from the universities at which they study. In addition, the EIT Label Certificate demonstrates the entrepreneurship and innovation skills which you have developed during your studies.
