Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary

The Office of Student Life uniquely serves the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary community by attending to the well-being of its students. The Dean of Students serves as chief advocate for Garrett-Evangelical students, provides oversight for Student Council (StuCo), and promotes a student-centered environment that fosters development and learning outside of the classroom.

Garrett-Evangelical has two on-campus residence halls: Old Dorm and Loder Hall. Old Dorm offers single rooms and suites. Loder Hall offers single rooms and also has a small number of rooms available for occupancy by two students. Old Dorm and Loder Hall are equipped with Wi-Fi.

Coin operated laundry facilities are located on all three residential floors and in the basement of Loder Hall - these will be available for all dormitory residents. Dining facilities and the Garrett Place store are located on the first floor of Loder Hall. Student mail service and vending machines are located in the Lower Level of Loder.

The Styberg Library welcomes and serves all persons, respecting the many diverse identities that they bring with them, including, but not limited to, ability, age, class, gender identity/expression, national origin, sexual orientation, race, and religion.

Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary understands the importance of taking care of the body, as well as mind and spirit. Through the Seminary’s relationship with Northwestern University, Garrett-Evangelical students have opportunity to utilize Northwestern’s fitness and health facilities.
