Oklahoma City University did not start out as the fully formed institution that we know today. The early 20th century was a difficult time for a fledgling university. As a result, the school's name, its leaders, and even its location changed several times during those early years. In the face of so much instability, the university remained firmly attached to its Methodist roots as it evolved.

The university is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers a wide variety of degrees in the liberal arts, fine arts, sciences and business.

By providing a student-focused learning environment and an inclusive, values-centered culture that engages the community and the world, Oklahoma City University will be a university of choice for talented and high-potential students, faculty, and staff.

Every course you take, every student organization you join, and every campus experience is an opportunity to build and diversify your skills and develop your goals. Through individual Career Advising, we will work closely with you to explore your professional interests and offer strategies and resources to help you along your journey.
