About

History

In 2001, USIU and CSPP merged, forming Alliant with San Francisco Law School (SFLS) joining in 2010. From 1909 through today, one constant remains: We specialize in preparing students for careers of impact through our model of academic rigor paired with hands-on training.

Education

Alliant’s educational programs are designed to give students the knowledge, skills, and ethical values they need to serve and lead effectively in a variety of professional settings. Alliant graduates are expected to achieve mastery of a body of knowledge and be able to apply that knowledge in professional practice in order to achieve desired, and beneficial outcomes.

Research

CSPP is the home of several interdisciplinary research institutes, each of which is focused on an area of urgent importance. Students have the opportunity to participate in the activities of these institutes and, through them, to work with faculty from across the Alliant system.

You can search the topics of CSPP’s graduate research from the Alliant library page. Some students work on their doctoral research in research clusters with faculty; others choose to explore an area of their own interest, often related to an academic emphasis.

Career

Career Impact is a valuable career preparation tool designed for students.  Offering a fun and exciting way to connect with employers, view and apply to jobs and internships as well as a platform to build unique and engaging profiles. Career Impact has over 400 custom made short-form videos and the ability to utilize open chat to connect with staff and students for career prep issues. Use it to create a repository of your favorite important links, videos, and other resources.
