Bay Path was established in 1897. The name is based on a foot path used by Native Americans that was later formalized as a much-traveled commercial route between early Connecticut settlements and towns of the Massachusetts Bay Colony including Boston.
Bay Path University provides majors in neurobiology, cybersecurity, and business analytics, as well as minors and concentrations that deepen your knowledge in a specific area. But we also educate the whole person, giving you the courage and confidence to be your best self, to help you get where you have to go, and to take on more in your life.
Bay Path University is the environment where research is not only taught at a theoretical level, but practical as well. Numerous modern topics such as globalization or mentoring are being extensively analysed in the most professional manner.

Our main campus located in Longmeadow, MA is home to our Residential College, for high school, transfer and International young women; One Day A Week Saturday Program, for adult women with classes on Saturday; and Graduate College for men and women.
The Bay Path University Wildcats compete in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) across seven sports: Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball.

Bay Path University is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education since 1965 and was last reviewed in April 2006. Its accreditation by the New England Association encompasses the entire institution. For the past year and a half, Bay Path University has been engaged in a process of self-study, addressing the Commission’s Standards for Accreditation. An evaluation team will visit the institution to gather evidence that the self-study is thorough and accurate. The team will recommend to the Commission a continuing status for the institution. Following a review process, the Commission itself will take the final action.
