Top Indian University
I would like to say that the institution is one of the top five universities in India. In West Bengal, it's quite a popular institution. However, the management could be improved. The administrative part needs to be improved
My academic journey
Calcutta University is one of the top five institutions in India. Though it had got a high rank, as a student my personal experiences are so great. Apart from the fact that it's highly reputed, I think the infrastructure could be much better. I'm studying in South Calcutta Girls' College which is under University of Calcutta. Our college is one of the oldest women colleges in the city. But the infrastructure has not changed much. We expect better amenities from the college like a proper auditorium hall, good canteen services with reasonable prices, a larger common room to accomodate more students during free times, etc. The good thing is that unlike other colleges, this institute is actually serious about studies. Teachers are responsible and they will teach you their best. I myself being from the Psychology Department have seen how dedicated teachers are with the theories, practicals, providing notes and best materials along with attendance. Yet the administrative part still lags behind. The library can be updated with a lot more books which are not available on the internet.
