In 1852 the Bath School of Art was established after the Great Exhibition, and there begins our long and prestigious history. The School enjoyed a reputation as one of the leading art schools in the country, and some of Britain’s best known artists, including Walter Sickert and Howard Hodgkin, studied and taught at what was to become the Bath School of Art and Design.

Student Reviews

Anonymous rated 4 out of 5 stars

Bath Spa is giving students a platform to promote and raise funds for their creative, extra - curricular or academic projects and business ideas, with lots of help and support.

Yes, I think the setting of the university and the university itself are very inspiring. We are encouraged to reach higher and taught a range of skills from a group of tutors who have a very diverse background in textiles and/or design.

Poor value for money
Fiona Kirton rated 3 out of 5 stars

Found the standard of tutors very variable. Not good value for money.
