Cultivating Biotechnology Brilliance

From the moment I stepped onto campus, I was welcomed into a vibrant and intellectually stimulating community that has shaped me into the scientist I am today. The faculty at University of Pisa are undoubtedly the cornerstone of its success. Their passion for biotechnology is palpable, and their expertise is unmatched. The professors go above and beyond to ensure that every student receives a comprehensive education in the field. They are approachable, dedicated, and provide personalized guidance, making even the most complex topics accessible. The degree is thoughtfully designed to cover a wide range of subjects within biotechnology, from molecular biology to genetic engineering, and from bioinformatics to pharmaceutical development. The hands-on laboratory experiences were a highlight of my academic career. These labs provided the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills crucial for success in the biotech industry. In conclusion, my time at University of Pisa has been instrumental in shaping me into a well-rounded and highly skilled biotechnologist.

The Student Government Association represents students and the IU Northwest campus through their involvement in campus committees and at Board of Trustees meetings. Elected officers of Student Government serve on different administrative committees throughout the year. They also allocate Student Activity funds to other student organizations on campus. Officers are expected to attend regularly scheduled meetings and are given a wide variety of responsibilities and leadership positions throughout their term in office.

Medical services

The IU Northwest Campus Health and Wellness Center Clinic is made possible through the College of Health and Human Services. It is an organization of health care professionals who are committed to improving the health and well-being of the IU Northwest campus community. We deliver high quality, affordable health care and through health promotion and illness prevention activities.

We are located in Gary, Indiana, approximately 30 miles southeast of Chicago and 10 miles from the Indiana Dunes National Park, in an area of the state affectionately known as the region.
Our 42-acre campus includes a dedicated student center and eight academic buildings, including our latest addition, the ultramodern $45 million Arts & Sciences Building. We also offer plenty of green space for outdoor study and play when the weather is right.
A busy hub, the Moraine Student Center features the RedHawk Café, serving breakfast and lunch―and plenty of space to eat, study, or chill.
