Great Falls College Montana State University is a two-year technical/community college within Montana’s public university system. Central administrative control of the College is vested exclusively in the Montana Board of Regents. 

History

In 1969 Vocational Technical Centers were established by the Montana Legislature in Great Falls, Butte, Helena, Missoula and Billings to offer employment training in vocational and technical fields including adult education, licensed practical nursing, dental assisting and food services. Original governance was under the Great Falls School District.

Students can choose from a diverse curriculum including campus learning, distance education and online courses. Great Falls College opens opportunities for all – whether you are a freshman student, transfer student, re-admit student, international or seeking home schooling options. The faculty is highly experienced and knowledgeable.

The Office of Institutional Research advances the mission and strategic goals of the College by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting institutional data. The office is responsible for conducting campus- and department-level institutional research to support informed decision making, continuous improvement, planning, and accountability efforts.

Student clubs

There are lots of ways to get involved on campus for students looking to enhance their college experience.The Associated Students of GFC MSU (Student Government) is led by four officers each year who guide the Senate in planning activities for the campus, using student funds, and helping grow student leaders.The Beta Eta Omicron chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society is focused on academic excellence, leadership development, and community service. A variety of other clubs include programs of study (such as LPN Students, Respiratory Care Students, and others) and interest groups (such as a Christian Student Association, Native American Student Group, and STEM Club).
