General requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 upper division units in mathematics from an accredited college or university;

Students must have fulfilled the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) and should file for Advancement upon completion of at least six units (and no more than nine units) on the Program, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Program of study must be approved by the appropriate Graduate Advisor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics Chair, Associate Dean in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or designee, and Dean of Graduate Studies.
