The MSc equips students with theoretical grounding and applied skills for professional economists, opening a wide range of economics careers through the three Pathways:
- Big Data and Quantitative Analysis for careers in government departments, financial institutions and consultancies as economic forecaster, quant analyst, risk analyst
- Competition and Public Policy for careers in consultancies, regulatory agencies, economic research institutes and think tanks, government departments
- Macroeconomic Outcomes and Financial Markets for careers in central banks, commercial and investment banks, financial institutions, and consultancies

Degree requirements
- A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in any subject, provided the degree contains substantial levels of study of Mathematics and Statistics.
- Most students will generally have an Economics or related degree. Applicants from Mathematics, Engineering and Sciences backgrounds will be considered.
