Overview
The Aerospace Satellite Engineering programme offered by Northumbria University is designed to enable those from a broad range of backgrounds related to science and engineering (at undergraduate level or extensive industry experience) to take up careers in the space sector as well as across its various supply chains.
Students will have the opportunity to build comprehensive technical and transferable skills, utilising our state-of-the-art labs. You'll also become part of our North East Skills and Technology Centre (NESST), a £50 million investment with partners including the UK Space Agency and industry prime Lockheed Martin UK Space.

General requirements
- A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in an engineering or other related subject such as Maths, Physics, Computer Sciences.
- Other subject qualifications, equivalent professional qualifications and/or relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
- International applicants (apart from exempt nationalities) will need an ATAS certificate to enrol on this course. Without this certificate, a visa application will be refused.
- International applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent).
