Overview
Another aim of the Islamic Economics and Finance - Thesis programme at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University is to contribute to the professional experience of those who are still working in participation banks and the field of interest-free banking.
In this context, the programme includes courses on Islamic economics, basic Fiqh knowledge on economic and financial issues, interest-free banking, comparative characteristics of traditional and participation banks, scientific research methods.
Learning Outcomes
- To have a sufficient knowledge about the fundamental concepts and methodology of Islamic law.
- Having academic knowledge about Islamic morality and ethics
- Having enough knowledge about Islamic commercial law
- Having enough knowledge and skills about economics and finance
- To provide the students with the fundamental knowledge and skills related to Islamic finance
- To endow the students with the background regarding the theory of Islamic economics, economies of Muslim-majority countries and their relations with each other, history of Islamic economic thought and Islamic economic history within a comparative perspective

- ALES Score (For Turkish Applicants): Minimum General Score: 55 (SÖZ or EA-point type). For GRE-ALES equivalent see the table
- o get a score of at least 70 from YDS or YÖKDİL (English) or an equivalent score from the foreign language (English) exams accepted as equivalent by ÖSYM or at least 70 points from the English Language Proficiency Exam to be held by IZU.
