Overview

This program focuses exclusively on unscripted TV format creation. Participants learn about creativity, project management, marketing, and legal aspects and also gain knowledge of the international content market, format awareness, responding to creative briefs, and perfecting the art of pitching ideas and creating compelling trailers.

The overarching goal is to equip individuals with the skills required to create, develop, and market unscripted formats effectively, catering to the demands of broadcasters in a constantly evolving audiovisual landscape.

Upon completion of the program, students will be equipped to pursue diverse roles in TV format creation and development, such as Development Executive, Format Researcher, Creative Producer, or Junior Format Strategist.

They will also be prepared for positions in production, ranging from Assistant Producer and Editorial Coordinator to Artistic Consultant as well as roles within broadcasters and streaming platforms, including Programming Assistant, Scheduling Analyst, International Content Scout, or Junior Commissioning Editor.

Programme Structure

The MSc TV Content Creation and Innovation spans 2 years, totaling 120 ECTS. Fully taught in English, it includes lectures, practical work, and tutored projects, all scheduled during the day. The final semester of the second year is dedicated to an internship.
