The University of Akron School of Law’s Intellectual Property (IP) program was also awarded a grade “A-” rating in The National Jurist’s preLaw magazine for Spring 2018. Akron Law’s IP program received the grade because of the breadth of its curricular offering and for attaining high scores in each of the following benchmarks:

Concentration in IP;
Supporting the United States Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Clinic;

Current Akron Law JD students use this application.
Prospective students apply through LSAC.org, where you may complete an application to our program.
Original, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
A personal statement addressing your preparation for and interest in an LL.M. degree in IP. Consideration will be given to work experience in intellectual property or related business experience, as a student or practitioner, as well as to any obstacles that you have overcome. The personal statement may not be longer than two pages.
A two-page resume should preferably include education and employment on the first page and publications and awards on the second page.
