Overview

Graduates of the Learning Design and Technology program at Winthrop Universitywill be able to create instructor led or self-paced learning materials. This degree will provide you with the professional preparation you need to succeed in the growing field of Learning Design and Technology.

Curriculum, Program Requirements & Learning Opportunities

Instruction will be delivered to the students in a primarily online environment using synchronous and asynchronous learning management systems. Students will come to campus for course requirements in a limited number of classes. Classes with an on-campus experience typically involve one on campus experience per class. On campus work occurs on days and time that are appropriate for working adults (e.g. evenings or Saturdays).

An online Graduate School application and non-refundable application fee

Official transcript(s) from all institutions attended for undergraduate and graduate coursework. Transcripts must be sent directly to Winthrop's Graduate School office from the issuing institution(s).

Statement of purpose: The statement of purpose should demonstrate the potential to be successful in writing at a level appropriate for graduate study, why the degree program meets their professional goals, and their emerging and/or existing knowledge of the field. The statement of purpose should not exceed two single-spaced word-processed pages.

A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
