You will develop an advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and associated disciplines, with an awareness of the context in which engineering operates, in terms of sustainability, safety, environmental, social and economic aspects. Alongside this, you will gain a range of intellectual, practical and transferable skills necessary to develop careers in this field.

The programme is suitable for students who wish to develop the skills necessary to become Chartered Professional Engineers or to pursue careers in higher levels of management, in manufacturing and in power engineering.

University College London (UCL) Mechanical Engineering is a dynamic and vibrant place to study and do research. General requirements

A first or second-class Bachelor’s degree from a UK university in an appropriate subject, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard from a recognised higher education institution.

A small number of programmes require the GMAT or GRE General Test.
For some taught programmes, applicants whose qualifications are of a lower standard may be admitted if they can demonstrate an appropriate academic background and experience in the relevant field.
Applicants may be required to pass a qualifying examination, or pass a qualifying year of a Graduate Diploma, before being registered in to the corresponding Master’s programme.
