Description
Chevening is the UK government’s global scholarship programme, supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations. It is intended for high-calibre graduates with leadership qualities and the potential to influence positive change in their home countries.

Eligibility
- Chevening Scholarships are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields; including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia.
- Applicants should be high-calibre graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership.
- Chevening Scholars come from over 160 countries worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU), and this year the Scholarships will support approximately 600 established or emerging leaders.

Application deadline
Applicants must apply through their country or territory’s page on the Chevening website. They must also apply directly to UCL for admission to an eligible programme. Applicants awarded full Chevening funding who receive an offer from UCL automatically qualify for UCL’s tuition fee contribution.
