Description
The scholarship is available to applicants from outside the UK who have experienced serious risk or displacement directly resulting from armed conflict. Distance-learning and part-time programmes are not eligible.
Benefits
Full tuition fees.
A maintenance payment to cover accommodation and living costs of approx. £20,000.
Eligibility
Candidates can be from any country outside the UK. You must also fulfill all of the following criteria:
- be at serious risk as a direct result of armed conflict, and/or
- be displaced inside or have been forced to leave your home country within the last three years because of armed conflict and have sought international protection outside of the UK;
- be eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate.
- come from a lower income background;.
- not already holding, or in the process of gaining, a qualification at the level of course, or higher, to which you are applying
- hold an offer of a place on your chosen full-time Master's at UCL by the scholarship panel.
- have the documents in place by the time of the selection panel meeting.

Applicants must first submit a complete UCL admission application, including references.
They must then apply through the International Master’s Awards application form. Applicants are considered for all scholarships available through that form and may be offered another award if they are not selected for the Humanitarian Scholarship.
