
Overview
The Master’s specialisation in Education in Museums and Heritage at Radboud University is taught within the Faculty of Arts and has an overall course load of 120 EC* (two years). In the first semester, an overview of Museum Education is taught in Glasgow. In the second semester, students can choose to study at either the University of Tartu or University College Cork (UCC), the National University of Ireland (NUIG) or Trinity College Dublin (TCD).
Between the second and third semester, there's the option to take part in a summer school with the European Museum Academy and the Universidad Iberoamericana. In semester three, students have the option to study at the University of Malta or Radboud University in the Netherlands. In the fourth semester, students have the option to write their research dissertation at Radboud University or another university depending on where they wish to be based for research/ supervision purposes.
Future career opportunities
Career opportunities for graduates vary widely, but many will end up in the cultural heritage sector. After completing the master's in Education in Museums & Heritage, graduates possess academic knowledge, research skills and practical skills that are useful in this field. Graduates will, for example, work at museums, galleries, heritage sites or in consultancy. The positions are also diverse: graduates could find positions in education and outreach, collection management, curation, marketing and management.

- 2.1 Hons (or non-UK equivalent) in History, Art History, Architecture, Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Studies, Literature, Language Studies, Arts Education, Sociology or Philosophy.
