The Food Technology graduate program from American University of Beirut stresses quality control management, food safety, sensory evaluation, food engineering and value added to agricultural products. MS in Food Technology program offers both thesis (30 cr.) and non-thesis (33 cr.) options, and is normally completed over two years on a full-time basis.

The mission of the program is to enhance the health and quality of life in Lebanon and the Middle East region through teaching, research and outreach programs designed to provide safe, nutritious and affordable food products. In addition, the program prepares graduates for advanced studies in Food Science and Technology.
