Graduate of the Biochemistry and Biomedical Technologies from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava:

can creatively use the methodology of work in chemical and biological laboratories, knows the degree of risk when working with harmful chemicals, pathogenic microorganisms, biological samples, even in the case of GMOs,
is able to critically distinguish relevant information from misleading ones in assessing the nature of biological conditioning problems in the development of human and veterinary diseases,
understands the principles of modern diagnostic procedures for identifying changes in the course of events that could lead to the development of diseases in human and veterinary medicine,
recognizes the effects of a wide range of biologically active substances on mammalian organisms, including humans;

masters the work with scientific databases, can creatively select the necessary information, which he can synthetically combine into the design of working hypotheses and design procedures for their verification

Career

The study programme Biochemistry and Biomedical Technologies prepares graduates who have the opportunity to continue their further study at the third level or to work in positions requiring a university degree. Students interested in doctoral studies apply to our faculty, or study at other universities at home and abroad at faculties focused on natural, medical or agricultural sciences. They often carry out further studies at external educational institutions, most often the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
