Overview
The International Law course at the University of Leicester is ideal if you want to broaden your knowledge across international boundaries as well as if you are looking to work in legal practice or commercial legal work within corporations, non-governmental organisations or in government.
The course combines the study of eight option modules chosen from a broad range of topics. Through these modules, you will gain an excellent insight into the foundations, general principles and current trends of international law, as well as the subject areas of international trade and finance, corporate law, world trade and environmental law.
The International Law LLM stream will allow you to acquire the specialist knowledge and skills to further enhance your professional career. You will also develop your practical transferable skills including advanced verbal and written communication skills, presentation and planning.
Our LLM courses are taught by leading academics in small seminar groups, with a focus on enriching class debate and scholarly thought, and on developing excellence in legal research.
