Overview
Research Master in Social and Behavioral Sciences is offered at Tilburg University . Become a research specialist in the field of your choosing. Specialize by choosing one of seven profiles. Additionally, you will select your own research topics, in-house research internships, and an international research internship.
- Great flexibility. Either specialize in one of the six profiles with minimum exposure to other disciplines, or choose a multidisciplinary profile with courses, traineeships, and thesis combining disciplines.
- Personalize your educational experience by selecting your profile, own supervisors, research topics, and internal and (inter)national traineeships based on your personal interests and learning goals.
- Develop and apply your knowledge and research skills by participating in four individual in-house research traineeships and one (inter)national research traineeship and write two scientific papers as part of the curriculum.
- A thorough methodological and statistical education from renowned national and international academics, preparing you for scientific roles like a PhD position or applied research, as well as for analytical and research-intensive jobs in consulting or marketing.
- Benefit from small-scale (no more than 30 students in a class) and interactive education with individual guidance. You will be part of an ambitious and international group of students with different academic and cultural backgrounds.
- Allowing for and training of AI-assisted editing and structuring of texts.

- A Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as: psychology, sociology, organizational sciences, or human resources.
- A sufficient academic background in research methodology and statistics. Your background education should contain at least one introductory statistics course and courses that include multiple regression, analysis of variance, factor analysis, and research methodology. Your background should be clear from the course descriptions and the statistics checklist which you must include in your application.
- Strong motivation, excellent skills and talent for carrying out scientific research, which you should demonstrate in your motivation letter and other application documents.
- You need to demonstrate proficiency in English (TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, Cambridge C1 advanced or C2 Proficiency).
