The MClinDent Prosthodontics (Advanced Training) at the University College London (UCL) is an intensive programme for those dentists aiming for Specialist practice in Prosthodontics. The course covers all aspects of prosthodontic treatment including fixed (both conventionally prepared and resin-retained designs), removable and implant-supported prostheses for single missing teeth or partially/fully edentulous cases.
The MClinDent Prosthodontics (Advanced Training) at UCL Eastman Dental Institute will help you see your patient management in a whole new holistic way. Our programme is unique as our trainees are exposed to all dental implant treatment phases, including planning, surgical placement, and restoration. Students also undertake laboratory work to appreciate its role in successful clinical outcomes. Students will gain experience in both analogue and digital workflows in our new state-of-the-art Institute and Hospital faciliites.
Our programmes are supported by a number of full-time and part-time staff, including Clinical Academics, Consultants, Technical Instructors, Specialist clinicians and guest lecturers. You will interact and experience teaching through a small and focused international cohort, as places are limited. Learning is accomplished through seminars, advanced diagnosis and treatment planning sessions, supervised clinical patient treatment, as well as supervised laboratory work. The programme enjoys a worldwide reputation.
The programme is recommended for dentists aiming for specialist practice. Career trajectories of recent graduates include private practice, hospital and community positions and services, as well as academic roles.
The majority of graduates completing the programme progress onto the specialist list in Prosthodontics. Graduates acquire the necessary training requirements to sit the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) or Prosthodontics examination.
