The built environment is all around us, every day. It is the man-made space in which we live, work and play. Optimizing the built environment for our comfort, health and safety is crucial. It becomes even more relevant when we consider the ongoing sustainability transition that we are driving and endorsing. For many of the immense societal challenges with which we are currently confronted, BPS engineers develop solutions related to decarbonization, optimizing resource scarcities, managing pandemics and dealing with the causes and consequences of climate change.

Career

The Building Physics and Services (BPS) master track and its various courses prepare you for a professional career in the fields of:

acoustics
lighting technology
building materials
urban physics
heat, air and moisture
building performance
fire safety; and
building services.

Consider a job at a consultancy firm or an engineering company, or at governmental organizations and research institutes (TNO, for example). You may alternatively prefer to remain in academia, or even start your own company.

A sufficient level of academic knowledge, skills and competences.A Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic university.
A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 8.0/10. The CGPA requirement must have already been met at time of application. Conditional acceptance on CGPA is not possible.
