Overview
Implementation of eco-friendly plant production technologies, minimizing the hazards and risks to human health and the environment, is a major challenge worldwide. This challenge is faced by all economic sectors producing or using plants: agriculture, agrifood, cosmetics, pharmaceutics.
The objective of the Biocontrol Solutions for Plant Health training program from University of Côte d'Azur is to train students so they'll be able to conduct research programs and R&D of eco-friendly plant protection solutions.BOOST Key Features
- Training directly at the premises of Institut Sophia Agrobiotech,first laboratory on biocontrol in France.
- Content in English provided by professors and researchers from Université Côte d’Azur (UCAJEDI) and invited experts.
- Students acquire experience of teamwork by conducting mentored team-projects in professional situations: research projects, public-private collaborations, expertise, etc.in addition to long internships (4 to 6 months).
- MSc BOOST benefits from a direct link with the fast-growing biocontrol, biostimulants and plant breeding innovation sectors thanks to the large network of partners.

Academic requirements
Eligible students hold a bachelor's degree (180 ECTS credits or equivalent with certified translation in English) and wish to specialize in research & innovation on plant genetic improvement, biological control, defense stimulation or biostimulation.

General requirements
- CV (in English or in French)
- Cover/Motivation letter (in English – letters in French will not be accepted)
- Copy of your passport, previous diploma and your grades. These documents must be translated (in English or in French) and officially certified. Students who are in their final bachelor year will need to send a certificate of registration instead of the diploma. However, a diploma is compulsory and must be sent as soon as possible and no later than end of July.
- 2 letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation are compulsory. They can be written by a professor or a non-academic relation (internship chaperone for instance). The minimum is two, but you may submit more if you wish
- Optional: proof of good English competencies (TOEFL, TOEIC or equivalent). This document is not compulsory. If the application is of interest English level will be evaluated during the interview.
