All sectors that grow or use plants such as agriculture, agrifood, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, are seeking innovative solutions that protect both human health and the environment.

The MSc BOOST - Biocontrol Solutions for Plant Health trains future experts capable of designing, evaluating, and developing next‑generation biocontrol strategies and plant protection innovations.

Training directly at the premises of Institut Sophia Agrobiotech, France's leading biocontrol research laboratory and a major European hub for plant health innovation
Fully English‑taught curriculum, delivered by Université Côte d’Azur (UCAJEDI) faculty and invited international experts.
Project‑based learning through mentored team projects reflecting real professional environments: research challenges, public–private collaborations, expert assessments, and more
Long professional internships (4–6 months) providing hands‑on experience in research institutes, start‑ups, and industry partners.

Mentored projects in a professional environment: Research, Development, Expertise
Professional 4 to 6 months internships in a research laboratory or company

Year 2

*New management approaches for agriculture; Plant physiology & genetics; Population genetics, biology & dynamics, Chemical & behavior ecology

Audience

This program is suited for students hold a bachelor's degree (180 ECTS credits or equivalent with certified translation in English) interested in specializing in research & innovation on plant genetic improvement, biological control, defense stimulation or biostimulation.

- CV (in English or in French)
- Cover/Motivation letter (in English – letters in French will not be accepted)
- Copy of your passport, previous diploma and your grades.
- 2 letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation are compulsory. They can be written by a professor or a non-academic relation (internship chaperone for instance). The minimum is two, but you may submit more if you wish
- Optional: proof of competency in English (TOEFL, TOEIC or equivalent). This document is not compulsory. If the application is of interest English level will be evaluated during the interview.
