During the two years of the Werkplaats Typografie program at ArtEZ University of the Arts participants define the content, terms and conditions of their international design practice.

Overview

We expect participants in the Werkplaats Typografie program at ArtEZ University of the Arts  to develop a critical awareness, understanding and design approach in relation to cultural information and its distribution in order to influence and criticize the current status in (graphic) design. 

The organic nature of the course fully adjusts and critically reflects the particular individual interest of each participant. The diversity of practices, interests and talents combine to inspire new ideas and forms.

Programme Structure

  • The Werkplaats Typografie (WT) curriculum is designed to develop a critical awareness, understanding and (design) approach in relation to (cultural) information and its distribution. 
  • Theory and practice go hand in hand.
