The Counseling program at Eastern Mennonite University will help you prepare for licensure as a professional counselor in the state of Virginia. 


You will experience a cohort-based model of education with faculty who have practical experience as clinical mental health counselors. A recent grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has allowed us to expand our practicums to address underserved, rural communities, the opioid crisis and integrated mental health practice in interprofessional environments.  

Students in the Counseling program at Eastern Mennonite University participate in practicums in local community organizations and with the EMU counseling center.
