The Nursing program of the Moravian College prepares today’s graduate nurses for essential leadership roles in nursing administration, education and clinical practice environments. Two nurse practitioner programs prepare for advanced practice certification in adult primary or acute care.

Program of Study

Graduate coursework is designed to foster interdisciplinary exchange and learning with Nursing, Education and Business Administration faculty. The Nursing program of the Moravian College has been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to begin enrollment into its graduate tracks are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The need and demand for graduate-prepared nurses to influence health and healing outcomes for people in our community is greater than ever before. As the health care environment has become more complex, the role of the professional nurse has grown to meet contemporary complex challenges. Research studies suggest that the more highly educated the nurse, the better the patient health care outcomes. Students are currently invited to make application to any of the graduate programs.

  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited BSN program with at least 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Submission of official transcripts from all postsecondary schools attended
  • An RN license in PA is required for admission. Additional RN license in NJ is required before students enter the clinical year.
  • Completion of a statistics course at an undergraduate or graduate level with a grade of C or better
  • Two professional references, one from a supervisor
  • Written statement of professional goals with reasons for pursuing graduate study
  • Professional resume or curriculum vitae
  • Interview with Program Admissions Committee
